1. Who we are
“Hand Built, Not Bought” is a manifesto website operated by Tempest Media, a trading name of Saving Energy Consultants Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 14048747), registered office: Office 135 Boston House, Grove Business Park, Downsview Road, Wantage, OX12 9FF. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at darren@tempestmedia.co.uk.
2. What this website collects
This website (handbuiltnotbought.com) does not collect personal data through forms on its pages — enquiries are made through our main site, tempestmedia.co.uk. This site sets no tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies (see our Cookie Policy). Our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running reliably; these are not used to identify you.
3. If you contact us
If you email us, or submit an enquiry via tempestmedia.co.uk, we process the details you choose to provide — typically your name, email address and message — solely to respond to you and discuss your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to and managing enquiries, and, where relevant, taking steps at your request to enter into a contract.
4. How we use and share your data
We use your details only to reply to you and provide the service you have asked about. We do not sell your personal data or share it for marketing. We may rely on trusted service providers (for example, email and website hosting) who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to maintain reasonable business records, after which it is deleted.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, email darren@tempestmedia.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your personal data secure.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
